24-hr e-helpline plan for HSC examinees

CUTTACK: Taking a cue from the CBSE board, the state Board of Secondary Education, Orissa is planning to launch a 24-hour online helpline for students taking annual high school certificate exams this year.
"We are planning to launch a web portal for the benefit of the students. Students often come across difficult questions, but there is no one around to give an answer. In such circumstances, the web portal would be of great use and will help the students in solving their queries related to different subjects," said Satyakam Mishra, president of Board of Secondary Education.
"We are trying to get financial assistance from theRashtriya Madhyamik Shiksha Abhijan to prepare the website. Efforts are on to launch the website at least two months before the matric exam," said a board official.
The website would also provide study modules and question banks to students to help them hone their skills for the board exams.
Besides, the online helpline would also provide guidance to the students on preparing for the exams in an efficient manner and reduce exam related stress.
