Pearson Education Services Launches World Class Product- 'PowerSchool' in India

Pearson Education, India's leading education services provider, today announced the launch of PowerSchool, a web-based Student Information System (SIS).
A product that has seen wide acceptance the world over and is an extremely successful SIS system for schools will now be available in India and help today's educators in making real-time decisions about each student. The product will help create a collaborative environment for parents, teachers and students to work together to prepare students for the future.

Inaugurating the product, Srikanth Iyer, COO, Pearson Education Services said, "We are honoured to launch our extremely successful and powerful SIS product, PowerSchool at a global platform like Worlddidac. The product has changed how schools globally maintain and support student records and we are hopeful that schools in India too will find the product administration and student friendly. We, at Pearson, have always believed in bringing global IT practices and products to the Indian educational sector and with this new launch we have just moved one step ahead in that direction".

Commenting on the occasion, Gary Hunnel, Regional VP of International Channels and Sales, Pearson School Systems said; "Pearson is delighted that Edurite has selected PowerSchool for the Indian school market. PowerSchool is the world's most widely deployed student information system administering nearly 10 million students in over 60 countries around the globe."
PowerSchool embraces a wide variety of functions and supports a wide range of schools and districts - from schools as small as 25 students to districts as large as 80,000 students. The deep functions of a PowerSchool allow today's educators to make real-time decisions about each student while also giving them access to real-time information that allows student performance to be addressed in a timely manner. The major beneficiaries of this product would be the School Administrators, Teachers, Parents, Students, Counselors and IT Staff of schools.
"IT-enabled systems not only ease the pressure on academia, but also bring in transparency and control in the way records and documents are maintained. This unanimously accepted student information system is expected to change the way Indian schools administer work, thereby moving school education to the next level", re-iterated Iyer.
