Orissa HSC Supplementary exam results on Wednesday

Cuttack: Results of the High School Certificate supplementary examinations-2011 results would be published on Wednesday, sources in the Board of Secondary Education (BSE) said here.

Although the board was trying its best to publish the results by the end of October, it was not possible for the unprecedented flood situation in the State that hampered the process, sources added.

We had decided to publish the results of the examinations by the end of this year in order to facilitate the successful students to take admission in Plus II courses in the ongoing academic session.

However due to floods, which rocked the state for over three weeks, the publication of results was delayed for some time, said an official of Board.

The High School Certificate (Matriculation) supplementary examinations-2011 were held in as many as 333 centers across the state in August-September this year and at least 61,168 students, including 11965 ex-regular students had appeared in it.

Students who would clear the supplementary exams shall be allowed to pursue higher education in the ongoing academic session.

The Odisha Board is perhaps the only board in the country which gives its matriculation students another chance to clear the examination in the same year.

Board officials informed that the results of this year’s supplementary examination would be available in at least five websites and the students can access their results through net. The results would be available in www.bseorissa.inwww.orissaresults.nic.in
