CBSE class 12 compartmental exam on July 16

CHENNAI: Central Board of Secondary Education(CBSE) school students who failed in one subject in the All India Senior Secondary Certificate Examination (AISSCE) can write the compartmental exam on July 16 to qualify for admission into colleges this academic year.

Around 3,595 candidates in the Chennai region, around 5.86%, have been declared eligible to take the compartmental exam. This is the lowest number compared to that in other regions. Across the country, the figure is 72,084, about 10.67% of the total candidates who took the exam.

Regular candidates can route their requests through the head of the institution, who will ensure that the list of compartmental candidates reaches the respective regional offices with fee upto June 23 or with a late fee of Rs 10 a day upto June 30.

Candidates can apply for verification of marks to the respective regional offices from the date of declaration of result. The forms will also be available on www.cbse.nic.in

For urgent verification, applications can be made online within 5 days of the declaration of result by paying a fee of Rs 300 a subject. Applications can either be made online or offline within 21 days of the declaration of results.

The result of verification of marks will be intimated to students through email and will also be put on the CBSE website. Candidates whose marks are revised after verification will be intimated through speed post.
