VETERAN BMS leader Ram Prakash Mishra passed away on August 13. He was 82. Popularly known as ‘Panditji’ he played a key role in expanding the BMS work in Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand, Orissa, Haryana and Rajasthan. He also actively participated in the activities of the Paryavaran Manch. Born in Azamgarh district of Uttar Pradesh Panditji completed his education with many hardships. He became principal of a college. After coming in contact with late Ram Naresh Singh he quit his job and dedicated himself to the cause of workers in Kanpur. He was founder general secretary of the BMS defence unit. He was very popular among the central trade unions. A condolence meeting was organised in Delhi to pay tribute to Panditji.
