Orissa: College elections debarred for two years


Jagatsinghpur: Causing student’s unrest and anticipating violence in college student’s body elections for the Jagannath Mahavidyalaya in Naugaon area was debarred for two years. 

The decision was taken by the college principal following serious scuffle was erupted between two group students during filing of nomination papers held on Thursday, to avoid any untoward incident college authorities had called upon Naugaon police those reached the spot and put the situation under control and two platoon police forces have been deployed in college premises.
The news cancels of election and debarred holding election for two years in college had created serious resentment among few students, protesting the incident one group students led by president aspirant candidate Sunil Matia resorted indefinite Dharana inside college premises from Thursday but college principal informed looking college atmosphere turning towards disturb fast  so we after holding an emergency meeting took a decision prohibiting students body elections in college in current session likely for coming year and the decision had been communicated to the state higher education department in fax massage , he maintained.
