ICFAI waits for green signal

The Institute of Chartered Financial Analysts of India University (ICFAI), Agartala is waiting for a green signal from the government to open its campus in Manipur.

"We've approached the Manipur government a couple of years back", Sunil Shah, Dean of ICFAI University said." The Cabinet of the Manipur government has accepted it, but it needs to be discussed, voted and passed in the assembly"
The ICFAI Dean speaking to media persons here in Imphal today informed that his university had already open its campuses in Sikkim, Nagaland and Meghalaya besides their main campus in Agartala which offers Bachelor of Technology or B Tech programme cutting edge education to equip students with comprehensive and critical understanding in various branches of engineering such as computers, electronics and communications besides mechanical and civil disciplines.

Highlighting the facilities of ICFAI varsity which had been ranked as 'AA' grade engineering college in India by Careers 360 magazine, he said the wi-fi internet enable and ragging free hostels for both boys and girls are equipped with laboratories as well.

Besides having 20 % of doctorates in the faculty, 80% of them are master degree holders. "Our aim is to bring quality education in every nook and corner of the country," said the Dean.

"We've also recently opened our campus in Raipur besides those in Uttarakhand, Jharkhand and ICFAI foundation in Hyderabad" .

The ICFAI University would be highly competitive on the fee pattern, he added.

The program fee for the students from the north east region would get concessions as they are entitled to pay just ' 31,000 per semester against the ' 39,000 for non-domicile non-north east students.

The Central Bank of India has introduced educational loans.

The university has developed a placement network with engineering, financial services, information and technology besides the Indian Army and other companies.
