Orissa Govt allows 7 black-listed colleges to take students for the academic session 2011-12

Seven black-listed colleges have finally govt. nod to take students for the academic session 2011-12. They have been given conditional approval by the state higher education department.
“We reconsidered our decision after receiving the affidavits from seven colleges pleading for more time to satisfy the state government’s criteria.
“If they fail to meet the requirements within three months, we would impose restrictions on admission from next year,” secretary of higher education department, Chandra Shekhar Kumar, said.
The colleges which were debarred initially were Vidyarthi Residential (Junior) College Kunjakanta in Dhenkanal district, Sai Baladev Jew Mahila (junior) Mahabidyalaya, Baguda, and Supriya Junior College, Bhaliagada in Ganjam district and Regional (junior) College of Science and Technology, Nimapara in Puri, Jay Krushna College, Tamando,
Bhubaneswar, College of Computer Science and Technology, Bhubaneswar, IRODOV College of Science, Chandrasekharpur, Kalinga College of Commerce, Samantarapur, New Star Science College, Kedargouri, The New Age College, Suryanagar and Trivendi Academy Science College,
Ganganagar.
But as of now New Age Plus Two Science College, Jaya Krushna College, Tamando, (both in Bhubaneswar), Sri Baladev Jew Mahila (Junior) Mahavidyalaya, Buguda and Supriya (Junior) College, Bhaliagada, Rangeilunda — are still debarred.
