Our University already has close to 300 foreign students studying in its campus; and, the new addition will, probably, make LPU the university with largest number of international students studying at single campus in India. This achievement has marked a major step towards fulfilling our objective in providing education of international standards. In fact, we are determined to impart professional as well as world level acceptable knowledge and training so as to make our students globally fit."
It is worth illustration that the number of foreign students taking admission in Indian educational institutions has been showing a regular and steady increase for the past few years. Sharing his experience at LPU, Azze, a Nigerian student who is pursuing a degree course in B.Tech, second year, said, "LPU follows a uniform curriculum without any disparity among the States or countries and provides higher education at a very reasonable cost. All foreign students are given equal attention and treatment like the Indian students. It is really working wonders for us as we mix-up well with them and learn about a new and exciting culture, almost every day."
In fact, LPU has a dedicated International department for the foreign students which take care of their requirements related with understanding towards the new culture, local language, communication with parents etc. To overcome these barriers, LPU also encourages the foreign students by organizing events in which they showcase and share their cultures and way of living with the Indian students. These events help to promote and imbibe the cultural heritage of various countries to always uphold and celebrate 'unity in diversity'. In addition, it has partnership and tie-ups with various foreign universities and institutes across globe including USA, UK, Australia, Canada, Singapore, Brazil, Poland and Ghana.
