Module of new restriction in Orissa as girls banned to talk in mobile phones

While the technology seems to wind up the whole world in a single thread there remains a group of ideas in the State that do still think on traditional lines. The recent development in this regard has been made in the southern region of the state (Berahmapur). It is the Paikal Kandayat Samaj of Ganjam that has come forward with a decision to check the use of mobile phones by girls especially the unmarried ones.
The Samaj is reluctant of the frequent use of the electronic gadget by the teenagers and they believed it to be a primary cause for many disturbed lives. According to them unmarred girls don’t need to be much technology savvy as it only invites unwanted problems for their own and for their family as well.
While the banning came on a significant day (Raja festival) it cannot be categorised as a developing step. Again the organization had many demands for their caste that resides in Ganjam with a population of 10,000 families restricting girls from the service as it came as an issue for discussion.
The meeting that continued during the Raja festival was inaugurated by State President D.Nabaghana Parida. Banning phone service has came as an only option to restrict the girls from going astray for the committee members.
In addition to that the Samaj has asked for reservation of the caste under OBCs categories and free education for the girls and boys of their caste till matriculation. With a demand for the establishment of ‘Orissa Padatika Bahini’  has been put forth the members felt to bring a big no for cell phone service.
Meanwhile the caste works on equal participation for both the gender regarding the uptake of education. While the phone service has been a no in educational institutes banning cell phones for unmarried girls need to be reviewed again to end up with some fruitful decisions.
