Qazi board meeting condemns corruption

The annual meeting of  in Ajmer passed a resolution against corruption, communalism and terrorism. 

The meeting of maulanas and qazis from different parts of the country took place in Ajmer on the occasion of Urs of Khwaja Moinuddin Chishti. The first resolution said that the duty of the board is to propagate Islamic education and it has made a milestone in spreading the education of love, communal harmony and brotherhood in the country. 

"The mission of Khwaja Moinuddhin Chisthi is to eradicate terrorism, communalism and corruption. The board condemns corruption and has decided to teach people about its consequences in the society," said , secretary of the board. 

The members of the board expressed concern over the encroachment of Waqf land in different parts of the country. The board also demanded a university in the name of Khwaja Garib Nawaz in Ajmer. They also passed a resolution saying that the  should spend Rs 1 crore on the infrastructure of Urs so that the devotees coming from different part of the world can get better facilities. "Our demand is to announce the eighth day of this month of Islamic calendar as a national holiday," said the secretary. 

"Our motto is to have a communal harmony for the development," said another member. The Maulanas from Uttar Pradesh, West Bengal, Maharashtra, Chattisgarh and Gujarat participated in the meeting.
