After teachers, now there will be same uniform for school students across the state. Class one to 8th students will come under the scheme, a notification of state School and Mass Education department said.
Boys of those classes will wear deep blue pant and white half shirt. Girl students from class one to 5th will have sky blue frock. Upper class girls 6th, 7th and 8th classes will wear white salwar. Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has approved the colour combination for school going students. Govt. is spending Rs. 700 for every student for school uniform out of Sarva Sikhshya Abhiyan (SSA) funds.
