Campus Front of India Opposes Education Minister’s Remark

Campus Front of India, city unit organized a protest against the remark of education minister Vishweshwara Hegde Kageri who said those who are against the teaching of Bhagavad Gita in schools should leave the country.
The protestors shouted slogans against the education minister in front of the DC’s office on Thursday July 21.
CFI district president Hyder Habeeb, state chief secretary Imran and SDPI district chief secretary Akbar Ali among others were present.
Addressing the gathering Akbar Ali said that the state government is forcibly saffronizing education system. Instead of upholding the pride of Indian constitution, it is giving importance for ‘manu samhithe’ (one of the scriptures of Hinduism). With one-sided approach of education minister while passing the order of reciting Bhavadgita in schools, he has caused damage to the national integrity. This move is against the stand of secularism, he alleged.
Later the protestors submitted an appeal to DC which was addressed to the Governor.
