Embarking on a vision of training 15 million students in India by 2022, education services company Everonn would invest Rs 700 crore in the next three years to set up training centres in the country, a top company official said.
The city-based company currently has about 23 development centres across India and aims to increase it to 70 by year-end. This would be increased to 270 centres in the next three years,Everonn Education Ltd Managing Director P Kishore told reporters here.
"We will invest about Rs 700 crore in the next three years for the centres.. It also includes setting up of 12 Master Resource Centres (MRCs) across India", he said after inaugurating the first MRC.
Master Resource Centres are being set up through a joint initiative with National Skill Development Council (NSDC) in which Everonn holds majority stake of 74 per cent and the balance with NSDC.
The Master Resource Centres are aimed in training trainers on sectors like retail, health care, information and communication technology, construction.
"These trainers (who learn from Master Resource Centre) in turn will train many students on these sectors. We are working on a objective that by 2022 about 15 million students will get trained (from the developing centres)", he said.
He said the company would open three more MRCs in Hyderabad, Bangalore and Ahmedabad this financial year.
"We plan to open 12 Master Resource Centre in three years... the first is being inaugurated today,the second, third and fourth will come in Hyderabad, Bangalore and Ahmedabad (respectively) in this financial year," he said.
The company would invest about Rs 3.5 crore-Rs 4 crore in setting each such centre, he said.
Besides training the students, the Centres would bring in best practices in simulated training and also be an incubation centre for new ideas and training methodologies, he said.
