The Board of Secondary Education (BSE) has decided to conduct the Matriculation examinations in the month of February from next year.
After the publication of Matriculation results this year, the State Government decided to complete the examinations henceforth in February in order to facilitate the students to apply for higher studies outside the State.
Sources said the examinations would be over in February itself so as to publish the results in either late April or early May. "This would enable our students to apply for their higher education in other national institutions", said a source in the BSE adding that registration for the Class X examinations would actually start from Class IX.
