B-school to offer PG diploma

 (ISM) will offer Post-Graduate Diploma in Management  course from the academic session 2011-13. This follows the receipt of approval from All (AICTE) to offer the course with 120 seats.

Talking to mediapersons at a press conference here on Monday, the ISM's marketing faculty member, Prof Anindra Haldar, said that ISM, Patna is Bihar's first business college to get the approval to offer this course.

"The requirements of the industry have drastically changed over the past few years. At ISM, the curriculum has been designed in tune with best of the industry requirements to make students more employable," said IIM-A alumnus and  dean Prof Amit Parakh.

Asked what is lacking in business graduates from Bihar, Parakh said: "Busy focusing on core areas of management specialization like finance, marketing, human resources etc, many guys ignore their communication skills. It hurts them later in their career." He felt that students should give equal emphasis on developing interpersonal and communication skills along with their
