Education summit in Canada

A delegation of 25 vice-chancellors from is slated to visit the  in Canada. Held as part of the 'Year of India in Canada' and hosted by Carleton University, it builds on the agreement signed by the prime ministers of India and , and the visit of a number of Canadian university presidents to India in November 2010. 

The summit is an initiative of Sunaina Singh, president,  and chairperson from India for the summit. The delegation includes VCs of top Indian universities like Najeeb Jung, vice-chancellor, , Delhi; Dinesh Singh, vice-chancellor, University of Delhi; Anil K. Bhowmick, vice-chancellor, Indian Institute of Technology Patna and PN Ghosh, vice-chancellor, Jadavpur University, Kolkata, among others. 

The delegation will join their Canadian counterparts in the event which will include major keynote addresses as well as executive round-tables on the topics of student and faculty exchanges, joint programmes and degrees, twinning arrangements, credit transfers and accreditation issues, among others.
