It is time for the babus to learn computer

The education system of India is undergoing a major revamp under the Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan and the Secondary School Education program.
But inspite of giant leaps in this direction the state's senior bureaucrats depend on their junior employees to fetch information due to the lack of knowledge of computers.
But now the state education department has clearly directed the district education officers to make themselves computer savvy within 10 days by joining the state sponsored computer training program.
Notifications have been issued by the state administration stating that the program is poised to begin in June.
Previously the education department had trained the teachers and principals of various schools on the use of computers.
But this time the education department has decided to launch a 2 phase computer training program. The first phase of the program will be from June 6 to June 10, whereas the second phase will be from June 20 to June 24.
The officers from Barnala, Bhatinda, Faridkot, Fatehgarh Sahib, Muktasar, Moga, Mansa, Patiala, Mohali and Sangrur districts will be trained at Mohali IT academy, whereas officers from Amritsar, Ferozepur, Gurdaspur, Hoshiarpur, Jalandhar, Kapurthala, Ludhiana, Rupnagar, Shahid Bhagat Singh nagar and Tarn Taran will be trained at the IT academy at Shaheed Bhagat Singh nagar.
