Odisha Education minister urges Centre for one teacher for each class

Orissa School and mass education minister Pratap Jena has demanded Central provision for one teacher in each class at the primary school level and full-time teachers instead of part-timers in the upper primary schools having student strength of over 100 in accordance with the Right to Education Act.
Speaking at the 58th Advisory Council meeting of the central education board in New Delhi, Jena also demanded financial assistance to the block-grant schools in the State from the funds provided by the national campaign for secondary education. Besides, he demanded inclusion of games and physical education in the regular curricula of the school.
The departmental secretary Aparajita Sadangi also attended the meeting.
