Quiz-Whiz 2011: Round one completed

The competition follows an elaborate procedure. The preliminary round was completed today.
This was a written round in which students were to submit their answers to the given questions. This was divided into 3 categories depending on the standard in which the student is currently studying in and it lasted about an hour.
Next, the answers of all the students participating will be checked by the concerned persons at the institute.
The result, which is expected to be declared on June 29th, will give the ranking of the students that participated in the quiz competition.
On the basis of those results, the top 3 students participating in each category will be called for an audio-visual round which would most probably be held in the first week of July. On the basis of this round, a team of students will be selected which will form the quiz team that will represent Knowledge Pointe in competitions against other institutes of schools.
The question paper consisted of questions on a variety of topics such as science, government, history, current affairs, commerce, computers and technology etc.
